The Science of Building

There is science in everything we do, and nowhere is that more evident than in the construction of a dramatic new building like the Connecticut Science Center. While we continue planning the science experiences that you'll find inside the Center, we can use the building to help teach science and math skills even before it's finished. That's the idea behind The Science of Building, an AT&T Learning Connection tool designed for teachers, students, and anyone at home interested in some exciting examples of scientific and mathematical principles at work in the real world.

The Science of Building is a digital video program that we've created to use the construction of our new facility as an example of how science and math can be used. Designed for students and teachers, The Science of Building will show the power of leverage, volume calculations, and many other applications that are used by architects, engineers and builders to create a building that is beautiful, efficient and strong. We hope this is another way for you to watch the creation of the new science center, and see some real science in the process.
