Connecticut Invention Convention

Date: Saturday, April 28, 2007
Location: Gampel Pavilion, University of Connecticut, Storrs

Participating schools all over Connecticut teach "inventing" to their students in grades K-8, by helping students to research, analyze, and solve their real-life problems through creative thinking. The best inventors from each school go on to attend the annual Connecticut Invention Convention, where they present their inventions to peers and judges and are evaluated by professionals. The goal of the Invention Convention is to give students an unforgettable experience in using knowledge and creativity to solve real-world problems, in the hope that many will pursue careers where they can use their skills to make a difference. The Connecticut Invention Convention is a program partner of the Connecticut Science Center.
